so hilarious and so true!
I've lost count of the times my cat tried tripping me up - he has a nasty habit of sitting right in the middle of doorways so I either fall over him or tread on him.
the other dishes are mine and contain my food.
please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do i find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.. the stairway was not designed by nascar and is not a racetrack.
beating me to the bottom is not the object.

i work for a large corporation and if anyone else does, then they might understand what i am saying .... .
in the simpson series, there was an episode where bart and lisa are taken away from homer and marge and put into foster care with ned.
ned is so perfect, it drives homer nuts.
Oohhhh yessss!!!!!!
Fortunately, I was so annoyingly good that they made me redundant
We have a 'selection process' points system for redundancy in the UK to keep things 'fair' but those of us involved with me in my selection knew that it had been rigged so that I would go. I couldn't be bothered appealing cos I hated the place anyway. Just took the money and ran.
disclaimer.
first of all......let me start off by saying this.
i am not intending in any way to start any arguments with this topic.
Phew - I thought it was going to be an 'anti' thread!!
Good on ya for posting positive info about pit bulls.
holding back further comments to avoid disturbing the peace
i learned a new way of seeing in art class.
for months i left class with a blinding headache, as my brain strived to "see" what i had never noticed before.
this new way of "seeing" interfered with my viewing pleasure, as my overactive mind dissected people's faces in to shapes and shades.
I have zero artistic talent, but I think I see things differently sometimes - I become very aware that I am doing that. For example when I look at the tree outside, sometimes I see 'just' a tree. Other times I can be acutely aware of the movement of every single leaf. Everything looks so much more alive and intense somehow.
Am I thinking on the right lines here or is it just an altered state of consciousness I go into?

here is my second installment of auto-generated society content.. http://neocrat.com/toc.php.

i just unsubscribed from a crafting newsletter that i have been receiving for a couple of years.
all along, i have been willing to overlook the "uber-christian" leanings because they offered some neat things like free fonts and cute scrapbooking ideas.
but today they had a feature called "customer spotlight" that just irked the heck out of me:.
We are grateful for God's protection.
No He probably didn't protect them. If anything He'd probably been telling them to get the heck out of there for the 2 weeks before.
Some religious people forget that their God gave them common sense to use
i think mine would have to be pancakes...we go to this restaurant that makes a pancake as big as a dinner plate with a banana baileys sauce and ice cream.
yummo!.
es
Hot apple pie with......
Ice cream!!!
mmmm
using your anger to make positive changes in your life
i was so mad i just exploded in rage.
how many times have you heard someone say, "that wasn't very mature of you," after you have lost your temper.
This is brilliant Lady Lee! Thanks for bumping it.
It's helping me to make more sense of why I'm feeling like I do. I suffered physical and emotional abuse well into adulthood until I could afford to leave home, but I recognise most of the reactions outlined in feelings of powerlesness and psychic death, they are reactions that I've never been able to adequately explain to myself or others, perhaps because I've remained in that 'dead' state - maybe it feels 'safer' there because the dead feel no pain.
thanks again
i don't know how to stop her.
we put a bell around her neck so that she makes noise when she moves around but she still manages to kill at least one sparrow or squirrel a day.
i was on the back porch smoking a cigar one afternoon and saw her jump up and catch a low-flying crow right out of the air.
If she's bringing her kills inside, it's probably as a present for the top cat - ie you!
My outdoor cat is very clean, he eats everything he kills and he doesn't play with them for long so I accept his behaviour as a natural survival instinct. (And no, it's not because I don't feed him enough!! He was a feral cat)
Like Finally Free suggests, perhaps a bigger bell or another piece of thin metal (an ID disc?) next to the bell so that they make a louder noise is possibly your best option.
we have 4 cats.
max (maxmilion san queue - no tail) has diatebes and has had for 3 years.
i monitor his blood glucose usually monthly, more often depending on how he's feeling or behaving.
Ouch! Poor, poor Max and Brenda!
I'm glad none of my cats need jabs, I don't think I'd be able to do it, no matter how easy the vet says it is.
Do you have to be strict about what times of day you feed him at to help control his levels? That's a job in itself, especially if he's an outdoor cat and a good mouser!
